The difference
It can show its work.
A general chatbot answers with the same confidence whether or not it has ever seen your syllabus. You have no way to tell the difference, which is exactly the wrong position to revise from.
When Indie marks a Test Me answer, it shows you the supporting excerpt from the material you uploaded, and the file it came from. It arrives after you answer, never alongside the question — so you can check the working rather than take the verdict on trust.
Which also means you can catch it. If the excerpt does not say what the answer says, you have found something worth asking your teacher about.
